I spotted this Trek District single speeder (pictured above) in the Telegraph on Saturday. It’s a nice looking bike available in either vintage grey or green.
What’s slightly unusual about the bike is the drive train. Rather than having a chain the Trek uses a carbon-fibre belt. The belt is reinforced to prevent stretching and offers a particularly quite ride. The bike’s geometry is on theĀ aggressiveĀ side so expect the ride to feel on the racy side.
I like the look of the bike and I think the grey finish looks pretty sleek. I can’t say I’m keen on the chain guard (well belt guard) so I think I’d take that off.
