Halfords have released their latest weekly offers and there are a number of bicycle goodies to choose from. These offers expire end of business 7th July 2010 (unless stated otherwise)
Let’s start with the deal of 10% off all bike carriers. The Thule Xpress Pro 570 bike carrier for instance already has £30 off. This bike carrier has an ISO approved towbar coupling, carries 2 bikes, and fits most bike frames. It comes pre-assembled and folds flat for storage in your garage or bike shed.
I’ve not used a towball cycle carrier myself but I have frequently used a Thule cycle roof rack to cart my mountain bikes around. I found Thule to be of good quality, very strong and trouble free – I’m expecting it to last for years!

Don’t be tempted to buy a bike that’s not the right size for you. Too large a frame and you’ll have the seat post on minimum, it’ll look wrong and the reach could possibly be too long for you giving you poor handling and ride. Too small a frame and you’ll have issues with poor leg extension meaning you’ll be compromising on power output and your knees will suffer.

I’ve not featured a single speed mountain bike on the site yet, so it’s about time I put that right.
Here we have a 2009 Charge Duster, on offer at wiggle with a 20% discount that’ll save you £120. If you’ve missed it, I’ve spoken before about why last years model bikes make such good deals and this is another cracking example.
