I spotted this beautiful Mercian bike last week – though for the life of me I can’t recall how I managed to stumble upon it now.

I stumbled upon the stunningly beautiful Bertelli track bike (pictured) via twitter recently. The almost monochrome finish to the bike looks stunning and this retro Titan stem looks great:

Woah! This fixie is seriously orange

It’s the 2010 SE DCx PK Ripper fixed wheel bike and it’s certainly a bike that won’t go unnoticed! But it’s a lovely bicycle featuring top quality components fitted on a retro styled, individually numbered frame.

SE Bikes was founded by one of the USA’s BMX pioneers Scot Breithaupt and as such the company has a rich cycling heritage. It’s a shame that the official website doesn’t include a completed history page but at least you can get a feel for this all-American specialist bike manufacturer.

Following on from yesterday’s London fixed photo, here’s another fixie without any brakes. Frame clearances are much tighter on this bike and the front fork angle looks pretty tight to me so that’ll make for a racy ride.

Look at the classic Brooks saddle… retro leather with the brass studding (though Evans Cycles stock a complete range of Brooks saddle – see here). I’ve never been a fan of high riser handlebars, so the pair on this bike don’t do anything for me. There’s a lot of handlebar stem showing so there can’t be much left on that.

I stumbled upon this photo of a Moyer fixed wheel bike yesterday and wanted to share it with you. Isn’t it a stunning looking bike?

Moyer appear to be based in Austin, Texas and whilst they have a website it doesn’t seem to do a great deal at the time of writing.

Former cycling ace Chris Boardman (and another Hoylake boy, like me) has followed in the footsteps or other Tour de France stage winners like Greg Lemond and developed a range of self-named bicycles.

Pictured above is the Boardman Road Bike Comp SC – a single speed bike with the option of fixed wheel (I presume it’s a flip flop hub). I love the high-gloss black finish as did an owner who reviewed the bike on Halfords:

The quality of the frame and finish is top notch with manipulated tubes, smooth welding and the paint job is the best I’ve seen on a bike.

The bike is kitted with good quality components from the likes of Truvativ, Ritchey and Mavic – again all in black to compliment the frame.

Boardman Fixie Bike is a post from: biketastic

I spotted this Trek District single speeder (pictured above) in the Telegraph on Saturday. It’s a nice looking bike available in either vintage grey or green.

What’s slightly unusual about the bike is the drive train. Rather than having a chain the Trek uses a carbon-fibre belt. The belt is reinforced to prevent stretching and offers a particularly quite ride. The bike’s geometry is on the aggressive side so expect the ride to feel on the racy side.

I like the look of the bike and I think the grey finish looks pretty sleek. I can’t say I’m keen on the chain guard (well belt guard) so I think I’d take that off.
